The new Honda Civic was named the 2016 Car of the Year by the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada, demonstrating just how great this model really is. Believe it or not, the Civic has also won several other awards this year, making it incredibly popular.
According to Honda, the Civic has won a whopping eight awards this year, including the Car of the Year Award at the Detroit Auto Show. Other recognition includes 2016 Car and Driver Editor’s Choice, the 2016 Most Popular Compact Car on Edmunds, the Edmunds Top Rated Sedan, IIHS Top Safety Pick+, AutoGuide 2016 Car of the Year, the KBB Best Small Car, and 2016 KBB Best Overall Buy award. That’s quite a list for just one sedan.
What makes the Civic so great? This model was lauded by Car and Driver for its “well-dressed interior, smooth handling and potent, turbocharged performance.” Edmunds claims the Civic has, by far, has the most car-shopper consideration on the web. It has also been Canada’s best-selling car for 18 years.
Last year, the Civic was the recipient of the KBB Best Small Car award, IIHS Top Safety Pick distinction, and it received a 5-Star overall safety rating from the NHTSA. The 2016 model year has already doubled the number of its awards. Get yours today.
